Goals for the New Year and Beyond

Well guys it’s a new year and for me that means making a list of goals that I want to accomplish so I can stay on track. I use the term goals because resolutions are so…..solid. What I mean by that is some of the things that I wish to work on require more than a years time. It would be unfair to myself to limit the amount of time I have to work on something that I know will take longer. Although this is the case I don’t want to use this as a crutch to take longer than necessary to meet my goal on certain matters. With that being the case, I’ve decided to separate my goals into two sections: Goals for 2014 and Long Term Goals. Check out the lists below and let me know what you think!

Goals for 2014

  • Get fit (eat better, exercise, etc)
  • Read at least one book a month
  • Blog more
  • Be more organized
  • Watch less TV

Long Term Goals

  • Learn more about myself/become more comfortable with who I am
  • Build more self-esteem
  • Be more open with my feelings

As you can see the goals that I’ve set for the year are very specific but my long term goals are things that I will continue to work on for some time. I’m happy with this list and I’m determined to stay on track with these goals both for the year and long term. Let’s make this an awesome year!

What are some of your goals for 2014?

My goal is to blog more, too…to be patient with how my hair grows (I think that’s a resolution), to be a better friend, daughter, sister, cousin, granddaughter, etc. And many more goals and resolutions!!
