My (Old) New Hair!

I mentioned in this post that I would do a post about my recent hair change. That post is finally here! Before I show you the pictures though, let me guys give you a little background info……

As most of you know vacay is rapidly approaching. Coco and I made the decision to wear our natural curls while in Hawaii because, as she put it, it matches with the Hawaiian theme. At first I was super against it. Why not get a protective style like senegalese twists or braids so that we won’t have to worry about our hair? She insisted that I shouldn’t get another set of twists and with me being the awesome best friend that I am, complied. Now let me tell you what this girl did! She goes and changes her mind! She was all “Ya know it just doesn’t make sense to wear our natural hair. Who wants to be bothered with their hair while on vacation? We can find some cute styles while our hair is in twists!” Ultimate. Stale. Face. -___________- I mean really?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I could’ve sworn that those were almost the EXACT same words that I said. Unbelievable. Anyway that small story brings me to my current hairstyle. This is the hairstyle that I’m going to have in Hawaii. Check it out!

Whatcha think? I love them! These are Havana twists…….or Marley twists……yea ya know I’m not really sure what they’re called. All I know is that they’re twists and they look nice lol. I plan on getting a new set of these about a week before we go to Hawaii. While we have a few weeks left before we leave it’s time to take to Pinterest and YouTube for some cute hairstyles for these twists. Like I mentioned before there’s just so much that needs to get done! Ugh let me get to work!

What do you think of the style? Do you guys know of any cute styles to do with these twists?

I love love love the twists!!!! I want some for the summer although my dad will not let us (my sisters and I) put any other hair in our own hair!!! But ima have to do some convincing that it’s a protective style (and a very cute one). I’ll send you some ideas through Pinterest. 🙂

Thanks Toni!! But what!! Its the easiest protective style ever! Gonna need some good persuasion n it doesn’t have to be long at all.

I absolutely love your hair, it’s gorgeous! Is it expensive to have your hair done like that? And how long does it last before you need to have it re-done?

Thank you! No it was around $50-$80 and re-done every month! Will be doing that before Hawaii!

I really like those on you. I have been thinking about it. Are they heavy or hot on your back?

They would look super cute on you I’m sure! Bonus: they’re super low maintenance which would be good with the kiddos 🙂

I like it, but I gotta ask…how long did that take?!? (I’m not very good at sitting still during getting my hair done…I have super thick and currently long hair–the first time I got highlights AND a haircut it took the poor girl 5 hours…that’s long enough for me!!!) 🙂
