12 Nov A Road Trip I Will Never Forget Part 3
Happy hump day ladies! Only two more days and the work week will be over. I have to be real with you guys. I’m in some sort of weird funk that I can’t seem to pull myself out of. I was supposed to have this post up by yesterday, but I just didn’t have the energy to blog yesterday. I wasn’t feeling blogging today either but I promised that I would finish telling you guys about this unforgettable road trip and that’s what I’m gonna do dagnabbit! Make sure you guys check out Part 1 and Part 2 if you missed it! Let’s get on to it!
When everyone finally woke up from the comas we were in from being in the car for so long, we decided that we needed to plan out our week. We had already lost a day so we (read: I) wanted to get as much in as we could. My dad mentioned to us that our family in Georgia wouldn’t mind us coming up and spending the night for one day. My parents also revealed that we would be taking a day trip to Orlando to go to Universal Studios! We were stoked! After talking it over, while my dad was at the golf course, this is what we decided:
Tuesday- Head to Georgia
Wednesday- Spend the day with the family in Georgia/head to Orlando
Thursday- Universal Studios/head back to Tallahassee
Friday- Sleep as much as possible and prepare our minds for the ridiculous ride home
Saturday (in the wee hours of the morning)- Head home
Monday we went to the movies, which was part of the mall. First off, let me tell you how barren that mall was. Granted we did go on a Monday and people were at work and at school but still! We were practically the only ones there. I channeled my inner kid and decided to hop on a ride.
We went to see The Maze Runner. I had seen the movie before and loved it. Not only did I want the fam to see it but it was awesome that it only costs about $5 for each of us. Added bonus! Because I saw it already I wasn’t jumping all over the place or screaming like the first time lol. After the movies we went to dinner and then called it a night.
Tuesday was a chill day. My dad went and played golf, which is the real reason why he wanted to go some place warm, and we just kind of relaxed and got our things ready for when he got back so we could head to Georgia. We left out at around 5:00 and got to Georgia at around 7. It was nice just to spend a day and a half with our aunt, uncle and cousin. My aunt isn’t feeling the best, so it was cool to encourage her and giver her mind a little break from the pain that she’s in. Wednesday evening came around much too fast and before we knew it we were headed to Orlando. We left to get on the road rather late, again because my dad was playing golf, and we didn’t get to Orlando until around 11 or 12 that night. Now while I’m on vacation, I love my sleep. I was like “how in the world am I supposed to get up on time in order to make it to the park close to opening?” Little did I know, I didn’t need to worry. Not only did Moe wake up on time the next morning, she attempted to wake me up. That’s how I knew she was excited lol. We arrived at the park at around 10:30 ready to explore Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure!
Olive Oil was feelin’ my dad in that last picture. Popeye wasn’t having it lol. As you can see we had a blast! But that wasn’t the end of the fun. We ended the night by seeing these guys….
It was crazy cause we got seats like in the back corner of the theater. Before the show started we noticed that some of the ushers were moving people closer. One of the ushers stepped over to us and I thought if I didn’t give her any eye contact that she would come over and possibly move us. Know what? It worked! (I know it was cause I didn’t give her eye contact. Don’t try to say it was anything else) Ya’ll she moved us allllll the way to the second row in the front. It was awesome!!!! We all had a blast. If you’ve never seen the Blue Man Group please plan or trip to go see em or if they’re in your city plan a day to go see em! These guys are amazing! They’re funny and the music is out of this world! Believe me, you won’t be disappointed.
After our day at Universal, we drove back to Tallahassee and the following day we prepared to go home. It was an awesome trip. Random, but awesome. We’ve never traveled so much inside of a road trip. We went from one part of Florida to Georgia to another part of Florida. Definitely a trip I’ll never forget.
HAVE YOU GUYS EVERY HAD AN RANDOM VACATIONS? HAVE ANY OF YOU BEEN TO UNIVERSAL OR HAVE SEEN THE BLUE MAN GROUP?
